Brevard Elite 3rd and 6th grade teams are Champions of the AAU Tampa Super Regional Summerfest Jam Tournament. 4th Grade which played up in the 5th Grade Division, did incredible as well with 2nd place!

The tournament was packed with teams from all over the State of Florida including several tough regional Tampa area teams. Losing a single game could eliminate you from the Championship game which was not to be denied by all 3 of the Brevard Elite teams which entered.

Coach Kwame has led this first-year 3rd grade thru many tough battles and close to the Championship Game on many of those occasions. Yet this time, 3rd grade showed exactly how playing together and becoming a team over a period of time, leads quickly to rewards for all that hard work.

Coach Ben’s 6th grade first-year team also is getting its first taste of Championship victory this week, having finished very close, including a couple 2nd place finishes so far. Again, playing together comes first, winning percentages get higher, and winning follows. Hard work and persistance pays off!

4th Grade has tasted Championship victory before being a two-year team, yet took a big chance this weekend by playing up in the 5th grade division and showed everyone they are contenders at any level, making it to the Championship game and taking home 2nd place.

Congratulations to all these fine teams, coaches, and parents who are all the backbone of Brevard Elite. Brevard County has once again been represented statewide and we are all so very proud. Brevard Elite has clearly become one of the top programs to beat in the State of Florida. We are Proud, We are Strong, We are Brevard Elite!

This past weekend’s 2012 AAU Florida State Championships (even Grades) were especially good to the Brevard Elite organization. All 3 teams played on Sunday (Championship Bracket Day), which is what you want to see as an organization including all 3 being Pool Winners. The 4th grade made it all the way to the Championship Game for losing a tight one to the established Lakeland Fire. We are very proud of the 4th Grade Team (pictured) and their accomplishments which will surely carry them farther in this years AAU Nationals.

Additionally, a big shout out to the 6th and 8th grade teams who went out in the Championship bracket quarter and semi finals. Again, we are very pleased with the overall effort and strength our Brevard Elite teams displayed. Congratualtions to all our Teams and the winners throughtout the State of Florida this weekend.
